2011 Hyundai Avante soon to get launched in India

Some unconfirmed news are coming out stating that Hyundai are planning to launch their globally accepted sedan Elantra in the Indian automobile field as Hyundai Avante. Few Years ago, Hyundai India have launched a sedan Elantra, but it was a major flop. This new Hyundai Avante in India looks rich in style, great in it's performance, comfort, features and full value for money.

This new luxurious sedan, Hyundai Avante is powered by a 1591cc, DOHC, CVVT Petrol engine which will provide a maximum power of about 118 Bhp @ 6200 rpm and a maximum torque of about 156 Nm @ 4200 rpm. This new Hyundai Avante will provide a mileage of about 11 kmpl in the cities and about 14 kmpl in the highways. This new Hyundai Avante is also said to achieve a top-speed of about 185 kms in perfect running conditions.

This new Hyundai Avante, a luxurious sedan belonging to the D segment of the Indian automobile field provides Five-speed Manual Gearbox. This new Hyundai Avante includes McPherson Strut Type, Stabiliser Bar Suspension. It also provides a Disk Brake at the front and a Drum Brake at the rear.

This new Hyundai Avante in India is expected to be launched by this June 2011 and might have a price tag of around Rs 11 lakhs (ex-showroom Mumbai).

2012 Hyundai Veloster

Hyundai has been on a roll of late, turning out the fantastic Genesis Sedan and Coupe, following up with the new 2011 Sonata, and today, unveiling the Avante, which will be known here in the U.S. as the 2011 Hyundai Elantra. The new Elantra wears a completely different look from its predecessor, and that‚Äôs a very good thing.

From its streamlined, almost tear-drop profile to its sculpted and space-age front end, the new Elantra picks up where the Sonata left off, but with an edgier overall presence that fits its younger target demographic. The lines that tie the hood into the front bumper, accentuating the headlights and grille in the process are particularly pleasing to our eye..

Along the side you‚Äôll see a character flare that‚Äôs reminiscent of the Sonata, and a rear-window finish that borrows a bit from the Genesis Coupe‚Äìboth well-used family traits that add a dash of both sport and luxury to the look. Moving around to the rear of the car, we see the flowing design process continued, with the side‚Äôs flares meshing neatly with the wraparound tail lights, and the curves from the bumper coming forward to mate with the flared rear fenders.

Just over a week ago, Hyundai released official images of the car‚Äôs interior, which similarly elevates the game in the inexpensive compact sedan market, pushing overall design and materials to levels reserved for luxury cars just a handful of years ago.

As always, we‚Äôll have to wait until we can get into a 2011 Elantra to give our first-hand take on the car, but based on the official imagery, we expect good things. Check out the video below for a quirkily-soundtracked video of the Korean-market version of the car.

Veloster diretamente de Chicago

O Salão de Chicago não fica entre os eventos mais badalados da indústria, mas não é por isso que deixa de mostrar boas surpresas. Uma delas é a versão de rally do Veloster, cupê esportivo que chamou muita atenção na última edição do Salão de Detroit, realizada em janeiro.

O veículo foi concebido em parceria com a equipe Rhys Millen Racing, propriedade do piloto Rhys Millen. Entre as mudanças realizadas para tornar o Veloster um carro de rally, a Hyundai reforçou o chassi, colocou uma suspensão especial e colocou no carro rodas de 18 polegadas e pneus Hankook projetados especialmente para corridas. O interior tem todos os itens de segurança exigidos para competições e a carroceria é feita de painéis kevlar e carbono. Com isso, o peso total do veículo é de apenas 1.206 quilos.

O toque final fica por conta do motor de quatro cilindros dotado de turbocompressor, que entrega 505 cv e torque máximo de 82,10 mkgf. O Veloster de rally conta com transmissão sequencial de seis velocidades e tração integral. Segundo a Hyundai, três unidades serão feitas para participarem do Campeonato Norte-Americano de Rallycross e dos X-Games de Verão 2012.

O Genesis ainda nem chegou ao Brasil, mas lá fora o sedã já passou por seu primeiro facelift. O modelo foi apresentado hoje, dia 10 de fevereiro, no Salão de Chicago, nos EUA.

O sedã recebeu diversas mudanças. Entre elas, estão novos para-choques, grade frontal modificada, saias laterais com desenho mais esportivo e molduras das janelas que simulam alumínio escovado. O novo Genesis ganhou também novos faróis, luzes de iluminação diurna com LED's e lanternas reestilizadas na parte traseira.

Sob o capô, o Genesis 2012 terá três opções de motorização. A versão topo-de-linha é equipada com o motor 3.8 V6, que entrega 340 cv e torque máximo de 40,20 mkgf. A versão seguinte conta com o propulsor 4.6 V8, de 390 cv e 44,80 mkgf de torque máximo.
A novidade fica por conta da versão R-Spec, criada para concorrer com as variadas esportivas dos sedãs da Audi, BMW e Mercedes-Benz. O motor é um 5.0 V8, com 435 cv e torque máximo de 51,10 mkgf.

Independente da motorização, todos as versões contam com transmissão automática de oito velocidades e suspensão recalibrada, que também recebeu uma barra estabilizadora mais larga na dianteira.
No caso da versão R-Spec, a suspensão conta com um ajuste mais esportivo: o carro oferece detalhes cromados, direção recalibrada (deixando o carro mais agressivo) e rodas de 19 polegadas.
