Tata Indica eV2 - Specifications, Features, Reviews and Prices


Tata Indica V2 will now get a face-lift and this new model will be named as Tata Indica eV2, where 'e' stands for economical. This new Tata Indica is named as Indica eV2 after it seems to give a mileage of 25 kmpl, thus making it the most fuel efficient hatchback in its B+ segment.

This new Tata Indica eV2 features a 1396cc, CR4 Diesel engine which will develop a maximum power of about 70 Bhp @ 4000 rpm and a maximum torque of about 140 Nm @ 1800 rpm. New Tata Indica eV2, a 5-speed Manual Gear Transmission hatchback contains an Independent Wishbone, Semi-trailing Arm suspension in it.

The base model of Tata Indica eV2 has been priced at Rs.3.99 lakhs, but it lacks power steering, power window and AC. It also features a Front Disk Brake as well as a Rear Drum Brake. This new Tata Indica eV2 provides spacious interiors, price seems to be much affordable and spares seems to get cheapily. The drawbacks seems to be poor build quality and lacks refinement.

This new Tata Indica eV2 will be available in four different variants : Tata Indica eV2 L, Tata Indica eV2 LS, Tata Indica eV2 LE and Tata Indica eV2 LX.

Mahindra Mini-Xylo Hatchback soon to get launched in India

New Mahindra Mini-Xylo Hatchback

Mahindra is now planning to launch a smaller version of the Xylo, named as Mahindra Mini-Xylo. It should be noted that the mini Xylo uses a shortened version of the present Xylo’s body-on-frame chassis and the engine capacity has been reduced from 2.5-litres to under 1.5-litres by eliminating one cylinder and reducing the bore and stroke.

This new Mahindra Mini-Xylo, a new Hatchback vehicle in the B+ segment, features a 1498cc, 3 cylinder Diesel engine. The maximum power as well as the maximum torque that can be generated by this new Diesel engine is yet to get revealed by the officials. The mini Xylo will only have two rows of seats and hence a maximum seating capacity for five passengers.

This new Mahindra Mini-Xylo with a 5-Speed Manual transmission will feature Independent Coil Springs as well as Multi Link Coil Springs Suspensions in it. This new Mahindra hatchback will also feature Front Disk Brake and Rear Drum Brake. The other notable point is that since this new Mini-Xylo is less than four metres, it will avail the 12 percent duty cut as well.

This new Hatchback, Mahindra Mini-Xylo is expected to be launched by mid-2011 and might have a price tag of around Rs 5 lakhs (ex-showroom Mumbai).

Tata Indica Vista is one of the most popular as well as top selling Hatchback model in the Indian automobile field. Tata Motors are now all set to launch a new version of this new Tata Indica Vista, named as Tata Indica Vista 90, which will have the engine of Punto 90Hp under the hood of Indica Vista for the very time.

This new Tata Indica Vista 90, latest Hatchback in the B+ segment features a 1368cc, 16 Valve, DOHC, FIRE Petrol engine which will develop a maximum power of about 90 Bhp @ 6000 rpm and a maximum torque of about 116 Nm @ 4750 rpm. New Tata Indica Vista 90, a 5-speed Manual Transmission Hatchback contains an Independent McPherson Strut/Semi indepedent coil suspension in it.

This new Tata Indica Vista 90 is expected to give a mileage of around 11.00 kmpl in the cities and around 14.00 kmpl in the highways. This new hatchback is also expected to have a top-speed of around 155 km/hr. Also, this new hatchback, Tata Indica Vista 90 is expected to take a maximum of 5.80 secs to accelerate from 0-60 and about 13.80 secs from 0-100.

New Tata Indica Vista 90 has come up with some safety features that were not in the previous Indica models and they are the Dual Front SRS Airbags, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) and the EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution). Tata Indica Vista 90 is available in 4 variants : Indica Vista 90 Terra, Indica Vista 90 Aqua, Indica Vista 90 Aura ABS and Indica Vista 90 Aura+.

The latest to hear is that the American car manufacturers, General Motor's Chevrolet are now all set to launch the LPG variant of the Beat in India by the mid of 2011. This new Chevrolet Beat LPG is currently in the final testing stage in the Indian conditions.

This new Chevrolet Beat LPG features a 1199cc, 4 Cylinder, LPG as well as Petrol engine that will provide a maximum power of about 79 Bhp @ 6200 rpm and a maximum torque of about 108 Nm @ 4400 rpm. This new Beat LPG, with a 5-speed manual transmission will give a maximum of 18 kmpl in the highways and about 15 kmpl in the cities.

2011 Nissan Pixo Hatchback in India - Specifications, Reviews and Prices

New Hatchback, 2011 Nissan Pixo
Nissan comes up with a new Hatchback model, Nissan Pixo which belongs to the B segment of the Indian Automobile field. This new Hatchback from the makers Nissan will go on sale in the Indian market by the second half of this year, 2011 itself.

Nissan Pixo features a KB-Series 998cc engine which is Euro 5-compliant with Co2 emissions and develops 67 Bhp @ 6200 rpm of power with 90 Nm @ 3500 rpm of torque. Nissan may launch a powerful variant of Pixo with 140 Bhp turbo charged 1500cc diesel engine. This new Nissan Pixo is expected to give about 18 kmpl on the highways and about 13 kmpl on the cities. It only takes about 6 secs to acclerate from 0 to 60 and also about 11 secs to acclerate from 0 to 100.

This new Nissan Pixo, which is a 5 Speed Manual Transmission Hatchback car, also features a MacPherson Strut, Isolated Trailing-link suspension in it. The major drawback of this new Nissan Pixo is that the height of dashboard is little bit high and may obstruct view of short drivers. Apart from this 5 Speed Manual Transmission, a 4 speed automatic transmission is also available with this Nissan Pixo.

Nissan Pixo will be available in 2 variants: Visia and Acenta. Power steering, anti-lock brakes and dual front airbags are standard on every model while keyless entry, power front windows, split folding rear seats, side airbags and front fog lamps are standard on Acenta. Some of the notable features of Nissan Pixo includes manual air conditioning, electronic stability control and curtain airbags.

This new Hatchback, Nissan Pixo Visia is expected to be priced around Rs 5,60,000/- where as Nissan Pixo Acenta is expected to be priced around Rs 6,10,000/-.
